Demonstrate your research and experimentation skills at the TraceLab Challenge at SST’19!

For those of you looking to show off their traceability skills, Jane Hayes and Jane Cleland-Huang have prepared a TraceLab Challenge that will be run before the start of the workshop proper. You will get to work on a challenge set by Alex Dekhtyar, one of the pioneers of traceability. All entries will be judged by a jury and the winner will be announced in the after-lunch session. If you would like to participate, learn about traceability and TraceLab, and have some fun in the process, read more and find instructions by clicking through.

SST’19 Program Available

We are very happy to announce an exciting, interactive, and diverse program for SST’19! We will kick off the day with a TraceLab challenge where early risers will have the chance to solve an interesting traceability problem. A winner will be announced during the workshop. After the welcome and opening of the workshop proper, we are looking forward to Smita Ghaisas’ keynote on Traceability for a Knowledge-driven Software Engineering. After a Q&A, the first paper session will be on Traceability Visualisation, followed by one on Traceability Management and Evolution. After lunch, we will go in-depth on the emerging topic of AI and traceability in our special track. Led by a paper presentation and impuse presentation by renowned experts in the field, we will delve into the connection between machine learning and other techniques and traceability in a fishbowl discussion. The final session of the workshop will include papers on Traceability Techniques before we conclude the day with our closing remarks.

The program will be extended and refined in the coming days. We are looking forward to welcoming you to an exciting SST’19!

Keynote by Smita Ghaisas from Tata Consultancy Services

SST’s program this year will be complemented by a keynote by Smita Ghaisas from Tata Consultancy Services. We are very happy that Smita, Principal Scientist at TCS Research who leads the Data Driven Requirements Engineering group in the Tata Research Development and Design Center (TRDDC), India, will be talking about Traceability for a Knowledge-driven Software Engineering. Welcome to SST’19 in Montreal!

SST’19, the 10th International Workshop on Software and Systems Traceability, is coming to Montreal! We are very happy to announce that SST’19 will be hosted by ICSE 2019 and that we will be able to dedicate a whole day to inspiring talks, technical demonstrations, engaging discussions, and many other activities. The mission of SST’19 is to explore the role and impact of traceability in modern software and systems development. The event will bring together researchers and practitioners to examine the challenges of recovering, maintaining, and utilizing traceability for the myriad forms of software and systems engineering artifacts.

This year’s workshop theme will be “Traceability and AI” and we will dedicate a special track to this topic in which we will explore the opportunities and challenges posed by the recent progress in Artificial Intelligence techniques and propose possible solutions for such problems.

The SST’19 team is looking forward to welcoming you in the vibrant and beautiful city of Montreal!
